Russell Hiatt, known as Floyd the Barber after “The Andy Griffith Show” character, with his niece Donna Hiatt. The two worked together or nearly two decades before the younger Hiatt left to open her own barber shop. She sold Donna’s Barber Shop this week after 21 years in operation and 16 Mountie Awards.
Boles built home, gardens from ground up
The last in a series highlighting each of the six private gardens featured on this year’s Mount Airy Blooms Garden Tour scheduled for Saturday, June 8. County manager to present budget June 3
