We know you were just wondering, What's going on at the planning commissions I should know about that could change my city or neighborhood or the character of the land? Well...

Waynesboro's planning commission will on Tuesday consider requests to demolish structures in the Tree Street District and the Downtown Historic District. One is a "small shed" located near the rear of the property on 677 Walnut Ave. The other is a property on 539 W. Main St. The Wayne Theatre Alliance is making the request for the demolition of that "contributing structure."

The May 14th Augusta County Planning Commission meeting will include a request to build "a large solar energy system" on land owned by multiple owners. The total parcel acreage is approximately 1,693.10 acres, and the proposed acreage to be developed is approximately 470 acres within the fenced project area. The requesting company is Augusta Solar LLC.
