Letters to the Editor: World War II lessons seem forgotten

World War II lessons seem to be forgotten

It’s 2024 in America and I am compelled to state what should be obvious to every American.

Killing Jews is wrong. I, like so many others, have thought that this fact went without saying after World War II, but clearly it does not. Now that has been made clear to me, here are a few more things I once thought went without saying: Cooking babies in ovens is wrong.

Murdering people on the basis of skin color or religion also is wrong. Chanting “death to America” is also wrong. Anyone sending children to “higher learning” facilities and having your kids taught that doing these things is acceptable, you have been wronged and should sue.

Fremont teacher invites community to farewell concert

    Save the date.

Teresa Wright will be putting on a retirement concert at 7 p.m. May 9. The concert will take place in the Ross High School Performing Arts Center.

The Lutz School fourth and fifth grade choir will be performing as well as a select group of fifth grade boys. The Lutz students have graciously agreed to help Wright say "goodbye." This concert will be a combination of the students performing as well as Wright.

Wright would like to invite all community members, past and present students, as well as any staff members who have worked with Wright. She would also like to invite all staff members or administrators who are retiring this year. Hopefully this will be a great way for all of us to say "goodbye" to students, parents and Fremont City Schools.
