    Downtown Fremont has a busy September planned starting Saturday with the Sunset Market and Downtown Block Party.

    Ted Riser will perform at the Fremont Community Amphitheater from 5 to 8 p.m.

    The final car show of the season will take place from 5-8 p.m. Sept. 14. Registration is available online or at the office at 315 Garrison. Awards and trophies will be presented at 7:45 p.m. Dash plaques and goodie bags will be given to the first 150 participants and there will also be a 50/50 raffle and door prizes. Food trucks will be available.

    Another farmers market plus the Get Active Stay Active event will be 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sept. 21.

    Supervised family visitations resuming in Fremont with new organization

    After extensive renovations of the former Village House property, a newly formed organization called Fremont Connections, will be offering supervised visitation and exchange operations for families.

    Fremont Connections is the new nonprofit organization taking over operations for what was formerly the Village House, operating as a visitation and exchange center in Fremont at the same parish house property parish house at 350 Rawson Ave.

    The previous visitation and exchange facility, the Village House, closed in August 2023.

    The new administrative director, running the day-to-day operations, will be Tami Ward.

    “There is not a standalone supervised exchange and visitation center (in Sandusky County). It means a lot,” The new Administrative Director will be Tami Ward. “When we publicized this, we had to start a wait-list.
