Prentiss County safety checkpoints net seven felony arrests

BOONEVILLE – A series of safety checkpoints over a nine-day span in late July resulted in seven felony drug-related arrests for Prentiss County law enforcement.

Prentiss County deputy sheriffs were assisting the Mississippi Highway Patrol with a safety checkpoint at the intersection of Chambers Drive (Highway 4) and South Lake Street on July 29 and arrested Donnie Wayne Salmon, 25, of Gore Springs, charged with possession of hydrocodone. His bond was set at $5,000.
