Anderson County Democrats to host picnic with local candidates Sept. 7 in Oak Ridge

Anderson County Democrats will welcome the fall election season with a picnic 11:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Sept. 7 at the Melton Lake Pavilion, 697 Melton Lake Drive, Oak Ridge.

The picnic will be hosted by the Anderson County Democratic Women’s Club and the Anderson County Democratic Party, a news release said. Grilled hot dogs, condiments, drinks and paper goods will be provided. Those attending are invited to bring a side dish or dessert to share.

The gathering will offer an opportunity to meet local Democratic candidates who are on the Nov. 5 ballot.
