    • Last season: 3-9 (1-7 AAC)
    • Best player: Wide receiver Dante Wright had 39 catches for 507 yards and four touchdowns last season, second in receptions on the Owls behind only David Martin-Robinson, who is now with the Tennessee Titans. Wright is plenty experienced, entering his sixth season of college football with 159 catches for 2,165 yards and 11 touchdowns in four seasons at Colorado State and one at Temple.
    • The case for Temple: The Owls changed up their defensive scheme this season, moving to a 4-3 look. So there’s plenty of unknowns surrounding Temple’s defense. If they can turn around their turnover fortunes, the Owls could have a chance to keep the game close late and if it’s close late, who knows what could happen?
    • The case for OU: The Owls haven’t won a road game since September 2021, losing 14 consecutive such games by an average of nearly 26 points per game. There’s little reason to think this game will be competitive. Temple hasn’t won more than three games in a season since 2019. It’ll be overmatched pretty much across the board.
