    Vote for Landmark Fine Homes boys high school athletes of the week for Aug. 25-31

    The Oklahoman's fall sport boys athletes of the week poll for Aug. 25-31 presented by Landmark Fine Homes is now live at oklahoman.com.

    Voting is open until noon Saturday. Here are this week's nominees:

    Riley Baptiste, Sr., Edmond Memorial football: The running back had 17 carries for 106 yards and one touchdown in the Bulldogs' 35-0 win over Del City.

    Ethan Brooks, Fr., El Reno cross country: He had a strong performance in the elite boys race at Carl Albert’s meet Friday, placing third in 16:28.30.

    Jorge Fabela, Sr., Pauls Valley football: The defensive back and receiver intercepted three passes and had 60 total yards on offense as the Panthers defeated Lindsay 28-6.

    Wyatt Fitzgerald, Sr., Oklahoma Christian School football: The quarterback threw a 37-yard touchdown pass to receiver Elijah Winter as time expired as the Saints beat Christian Heritage 19-13. Fitzgerald finished with 222 passing yards and three scores.

    Wyatt Geissler, Sr., Bethany football: The receiver had nine catches for 130 yards and three scores in the Bronchos' 40-21 victory over Noble.

    Destry Lujan, Jr., Yukon football: The middle linebacker and running back had eight solo tackles, three tackles for loss, two forced fumbles and one fumble recovery in the Millers' 26-16 win against Putnam City. Lujan also had nine carries for 59 yards and one touchdown.

    Dominic Matthias, Fr., Moore cross country: He placed second in the elite boys division at Carl Albert’s meet Friday as he finished with a time of 15:57.03.

    Malikai Miller, Sr., Moore football: The Lions’ senior quarterback powered the Lions to a Moore War victory after throwing for 192 yards and two touchdowns. Miller was also electric on the ground as a runner, rushing for 67 yards to help lead the Lions to a season-opening win.

    CJ Simon, Sr., Tuttle football: The Lions' three-star receiver was dominant in his Tuttle debut on Friday. Simon caught eight passes for 130 yards and a touchdown to help lead the Lions to road win over Guthrie.

    Mason Smith, Sr., Deer Creek football: Smith, an Army West Point commit, was electric on Friday. The Antlers star receiver caught six passes for 93 yards and three touchdowns in Deer Creek's season opening victory over Bishop McGuinness.
