Heat concern forces early dismissal for Canton's Heritage Christian School

CANTON - With heat indexes expected to near 100 degrees on today and Wednesday, students at Heritage Christian School will be dismissed early.

On a Facebook post, Heritage Christian posted students will be dismissed at noon on both days due to the heat.

Today's temperatures are expected to be near 94 degrees with a heat index of 98 degrees, according to the National Weather Service in Cleveland. On Wednesday, the heat index will be 103 degrees with the high expected to be 93.

Schools across Ohio have canceled or altered classes because of the high temperatures.
