    501 ballots cast in first four days of early voting

    As of Saturday there had been 501 ballot cast in Hawkins County early voting for the March 5 county and presidential primaries.

    Hawkins County has early voting locations in Church Hill and Rogersville through Feb. 29.

    The Rogersville early voting location is at the Hawkins County Courthouse M-F 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Saturday Feb. 24 from 8 a.m. to noon.

    As of Saturday there had been 227 votes case in the Rogersville location including 221 Republicans and 6 Democrats.

    The Church Hill early voting location is at the Clay Masonic Lodge, 111 Hamilton Street M-F 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday Feb. 24 8 a.m. to noon.

    As of Saturday there had been 162 votes case at the Church Hill location including 142 Republicans and 18 Democrats.

    As of Saturday there had also been 77 absentee votes, 34 nursing home votes, and one military vote.

    The deadline to request Absentee Ballots is Feb. 27. The Hawkins County Election Commission is located at 110 E Main St., Room 301 Rogersville. Voters can drop off completed registration forms or register in person Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

    On the final day of early voting Feb. 27 both locations will be open 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
