PHOTO GALLERY: Rogersville's Crawford wins at Kingsport

KINGSPORT — Rogersville’s Jackson Crawford battled his way through the field gaining seven spots on his way to victory lane in the Beginner FWD feature on Friday, Aug. 9, at Kingsport Speedway.

Crawford started eighth and worked his way to the front of the pack in the 20-lap race. Rogersville’s Delisa Alexandra was also in the field and finished at No. 11.

The event was a makeup race for the rained out Aug. 2 lineup.

Kingsport’s Keith Helton swept the Twin 40 late model events. In the second race, he worked his way from the ninth spot to record the victory.

Castlewood’s Rob Austin won the 35-lap street stock event. A pair of Church Hill drivers were also in the field. Mike Hayes finished at No. 9 and Kenny Kelley at No. 12.

Kingsport’s Kenny Absher won the 35-lap pure 4 race. Church Hill drivers Brayden Powers and Mike Craig finished in the middle of the pack at Nos. 6 and 7, respectively.

Other winners included Kevin Canter (mod 4), Austin Walters (super street) and Charles Gunter (crown vic). Church Hill’s Brandon Bruner finished fourth in the 20-lap crown vic feature, while Rogersville’s Brandon Crawford finished ninth.
