Russell Simmons is Taraji P. Henson ‘s buddy, regardless of what the innanet has to say about their friendship! Social media users sat Henson in the hot seat on Monday (August 12) after Russell shared a photo of them kicking it in Bali.
This appears to be the second time that the ‘Empire’ actor has visited him in the Southeast Asian country. Throwback photos show the entertainment peers have been friendly since as early as 2009.
Russell Simmons Pens Taraji A Public Message Following Visit
It’s unclear when and how long Taraji P. Henson was in Bali visiting Russell. Note that she has not recently shared footage of such a trip to her Instagram account.
However, as mentioned, the photo Simmons shared showed them posing on a couch. He was dressed in blue shorts and a purple t-shirt, while she wore jean shorts and a knitted, multi-color top with a striped hat. They both flashed toothy smiles at the camera, and Russell Simmons had his arm wrapped around Taraji’s waist.
But the photo wasn’t the only reason the post gained online attention. In his caption, Russell Simmons repeatedly praised Taraji for her friendship and talents.
“People when u have friends like this, you are truly blessed!!!! Everyone comes to Gdas for healing, some people exude healing energy. You are one of those, you make everyone happy just with your presence,” he wrote.
The former record executive added, “Love you , baby girl. You are back home safe now, and already you are missed.” He closed his message with “ until we meet again” and a reminder that Henson means “so much to so many people.”
This Marks Taraji P. Henson’s Presumed Second Visit To See Her Bali Buddy
Taraji hasn’t publicly reacted to Russell Simmons’ praise or the reveal of her presumed second visit. But this isn’t the first time social media has flamed her for trekking to Bali for the music mogul.
In January 2023, Simmons shared a photo of them posing together, in close contact and rocking wide grins! At the time, he called her “a treasure to American culture” in the caption and called himself “one of her biggest fans.”
“Now realizing what a beautiful soul she is what a blessing to reconnect and share these experiences,” he wrote.
Taraji is only one A-list celebrity who caught heat this year for popping out to see Russell Simmons. Usher also went viral when photos and videos surfaced in March of him bonding with Summons in Bali.
In addition to thousands of fans online, the link-up did not sit well with Simmons’ ex, Kimora Lee Simmons, who is also the mother of his daughters, Aoki Lee and Ming Lee.
