According to the Akron Beacon Journal , the case is reportedly being investigated by “The Summit County Medical Examiner, Stow Police Department and Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation.” The outlet adds that the last homicide that occurred in Stow, Ohio, was “five years ago,” and at this present moment, the city “does not have enough homicide detectives to cover the case.”

“In a situation like this, we want to do the best job that we possibly can, and with their added resources… I think that will help us make a determination of how this happened,” Film reportedly explained per USA Today .

Furthermore, the outlet adds that Keleman’s family has released a statement amid her death.

“In light of the recent events, our family is enduring an immensely painful loss of Megan Elizabeth Keleman,” the statement reportedly reads. “We appreciate the community’s support and hope that our request for privacy will be honored so we can continue to focus on supporting each other through this difficult period.”

The outlet adds that the Taco Bell has remained closed since the incident. The location is reportedly prioritizing the employees’ “well-being and proceed[ing] at their pace.”

Furthermore, the company is reportedly offering workers resources for “support” and cooperating with authorities’ investigation.
