Even though Katt Williams’ viral ‘Club Shay-Shay’ interview with Shannon Sharpe aired months ago, people continue to discuss his comments. Recently, social media users speculated that Steve Harvey responded to the conversation during his appearance at Invest Fest in Atlanta.
Did Steve Call Out Katt?
In a video HotNewHipHop obtained, Steve Harvey discusses dealing with haters while onstage.
“You will never have a hater that’s doing better than you. Always know that! Don’t get off the wall to address some pitty itty a** boy… who ain’t got s**t going for himself,” Steve said.
The comedic icon then went on to joke about his fighting skills, affirming that if it ever came to blows, he could still throw punches.
“I use to be a fighter and I still got hands. They slow but if you get up on me real close… I could still knock your monkey a** out. I just don’t have the quickness I had, but I still know how to turn my hip and shift my weight. And I’ll knock your short a** out!,” Harvey added.
During his appearance, Steve Harvey didn’t name-drop Katt Williams, but social media users quickly assumed he referred to the actor based on his specific descriptions of who he would be willing to “knock out.”
Here’s What Katt Williams Said ‘Club Shay-Shay’
For context, Katt Williams’ interview with Shannon Sharpe had the innanet in complete shambles after he called out a few fellow comedians.
As TSR previously reported, Katt accused Harvey of stealing the concept of Mark Curry’s 1992 ABC sitcom, ‘Hangin’ with Mr. Cooper,’ during his three-hour sit-down with Shannon.
“The same Steve that went to go watch Mark Curry do his whole sitcom and then stole everything Mark Curry had. Now Steve got a sitcom where he’s the principal, and he wears a suit,” Williams explained to Sharpe, discussing Harvey’s hit 1996 television series, ‘The Steve Harvey Show.’
Williams didn’t stop there with his allegations. He even went as far as critiquing the ‘Family Feud’ host’s ’90s-era looks.
Katt claimed that Steve’s iconic 90’s haircut was a “man-unit” and joked about his current resemblance to “Mr. Potato Head” from the popular Disney, ‘Toy Story’ movie.
Additionally, Williams continued to accuse Harvey of harboring jealousy toward the late Bernie Mac and expressed that he was putting an end to all of the lies.
