    IU Health opens walk-in orthopedic clinic in Muncie

    MUNCIE, Ind. —  IU Health Orthopedics and Sports Medicine-Muncie has started operating a new walk-in clinic, "providing patients with direct access to expert orthopedic care," according to a news release.

    Located at 2701 W. North St., the clinic will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays.

    According to the release, the new clinic will provide patients with same-day orthopedic care, with no appointment or referral needed, and imaging and casting offered on site.

    The walk-in clinic will treat a variety of recent injuries, conditions or problems occurring within the last two weeks, including muscle, bone, or joint injuries; pain or swelling in a joint; sports injuries; sprains and strains; broken bones; dislocations; and work-related injuries.

    “As our community's health care needs continue to expand, ensuring accessible, high-quality care in Muncie has never been more critical,” said Kreigh Cook, chief operating officer, IU Health East Central Region. “The opening of our new walk-in clinic marks a significant achievement in our ongoing mission to provide expert care that seamlessly fits into our patients' busy lives.”
