You can now track your Blue Water Area Transit bus on this mobile app

Frequent public bus passengers can now follow their route from the palm of their hand.

Blue Water Area Transit’s fixed routes are newly available on the Transit mobile app, according to a news release for the agency late last week. Transit passengers will be able to use the free application to plan their trips and track their buses in real time.

“We are very excited that our passengers now have access to the information this app provides,” Blue Water Transit General Manager Dave McElroy said in a statement. “Not knowing if you missed the bus is certainly stressful, and by utilizing the information this app provides, riders will have the information they need to make travel decisions. We hope it saves riders time and alleviates stress across the system.”

The mobile app is available for both iOS and Android devices via the Apple store and Google Play.

BWAT has seven regular routes that stretch across Port Huron into Fort Gratiot and Port Huron Township and to the edge of Marysville in addition to other services, shuttles, and bus lines in the region.
