CCPD search warrant nets major meth and weapons haul

Last Friday, the CCPD with the assistance from the California Highway Patrol and CDCR Pelican Bay CERT Team served a search warrant on a residential property on the 2500 block of Roy Avenue in the Bertch tract.

During a search of the residence, close to a pound of methamphetamine packaged for sales, numerou items of drug paraphernalia, several firearms and stolen property were seized.

Several stolen tools were located as being linked to a burglary that occurred on Cushing Ave reported earlier in the morning. Del Norte deputies were able to seize the items and return them to the owner.

During the incident, Sonny Ortman, 51 was arrested for possession of a controlled substance for sale, maintaining a residence for the use and sales of controlled substances, possession of a loaded firearm while in possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia and felon in possession of a firearm.

Also arrested were Jolene Hanson, 40, John Pires, 47, Katherine Fitzpatrick, 45, for assorted felony charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of controlled substances for sales.

Suspect Roshieak Stuart, 34, was also arrested on an outstanding warrant and for being in possession of stolen property.
