A TIKTOKER has shared an easy side hustle for those who are strapped for cash.

She made $750 in one month and was able to help out other people in the process by donating plasma.

In a TikTok video from last November, an entrepreneur ( @shfosbcjavf ) shared how she made $750 in one month with her plasma side hustle .

“Donating Plasma is a great way to earn some extra cash while saving lives!!” Armoni captioned the video.

She explained that she dropped out of college two years ago and since then has made her income solely from side hustles.

Armoni noted that she has been donating her plasma for two years and that it was a great way to help other people.

“Plasma that you donate will go towards treatments to help people with rare diseases,” she explained.

Armoni shared that you can donate plasma up to two times per week.

What is plasma?

Plasma is a light-colored liquid that makes up about 55% of blood.

It contains water, proteins, salts, enzymes, antibodies, and other components.

Plasma plays several key roles in the body, including:

• Maintaining blood pressure and volume
• Maintaining pH balance
• Transporting nutrients, hormones, and proteins
• Removing waste products from cells
• Carrying blood cells through the circulatory system

The donation process for plasma is called plasmapheresis, during which plasma is separated from the other components of blood.

Donated plasma can be used to help others build antibodies, heal burns, protect pregnancies, and help babies’ hearts beat.

She also noted that you can make up to $800 in your first month.

STEPS TO DONATE

Another TikToker ( @soulmaitee ) shared a video on the steps she took to make $850 donating plasma.

Mai suggested that those interested in starting a side hustle first make an appointment at the nearest donation center on the BioLife website .

She also advised bringing a sweater, hydrating, and eating a full meal at least two hours before heading to the center.

Mai noted that the first appointment would take longer, around three hours, because a physical and finger prick to test the donor’s iron and protein levels need to be administered.

Applicants must also pass a health questionnaire.

She noted that once donors pass these requirements, they will be able to donate blood.

Mai explained how as blood is drawn, red blood cells are returned to the donor while their plasma is extracted.

Once that is completed, a rehydrating solution will be administered.

The donor will then receive a card loaded with their payment.

Mai shared that the first time a donor donates plasma, they will receive $90.

She said the payment amount increases the more you donate plasma until you receive $800.
