NFL fans sense ‘Cowboys downfall’ after CeeDee Lamb and Micah Parsons’ reaction to Jerry Jones’ ‘urgency’ comments

NFL fans think the Dallas Cowboys might be in trouble.
Cowboys stars CeeDee Lamb and Micah Parsons seemingly didn’t like owner Jerry Jones’s comments about contract negotiations with the team’s star wide receiver.
CeeDee Lamb (pictured) had a telling reaction to Jerry Jones’ comments about the Dallas Cowboys contract negotiations with the NFL wide receiver Getty Jones (pictured) said he ‘doesn’t have any urgency’ to get Lamb’s contract extension done, prompting the wide receiver to respond with a ‘lol’ on X Getty Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons (pictured) quickly shared Lamb’s post in what appeared to be a message of support for the frustrated wideout Getty
Jones, 81, suggested Thursday that extending Lamb’s deal isn’t a priority for the franchise.
“I don’t have any urgency to get it done,” the Cowboys owner said of the talks, per The Athletic’s Jon Machota.
Lamb, 25, shared a post featuring Jones’ remark on his X profile, adding a caption that read, “Lol.”
Parsons, also 25, passed it on soon after in what appeared to be a message of support for the frustrated wide receiver.
Their reaction didn’t go unnoticed among NFL fans.
“THEY’RE BOTH GONE,” one commented.
“Oh s**t Cowboys downfall and I’m right here,” another added.
“Cowboys downfall coming soon,” a third said.
“The castle is coming down,” one wrote.
Lamb is also said to have removed the words America’s Team, a well-known nickname for the Cowboys, from his X bio following Jones’ remarks.
The three-time Pro Bowler’s current deal is set to expire next year.
The star wideout has been holding out of Dallas’ training camp due to the lack of progress in his negotiations with the team.
Quarterback Dak Prescott will also hit free agency next year if he doesn’t ink an extension in the coming months.
Parsons is on the lookout for a new contract too having entered the fourth year of his rookie deal.

But Jones has been adamant that the Cowboys won’t rush into things during talks with their stars – while insisting on being “all in” on the 2024 NFL season.
“In my life, I have played option quarterback so many times and wait until the last leaf on the tree,” Jones said.
“If you want to picture a pure option quarterback going out to the sidelines, I have run that ball and kept it and not handed off to the [running] back, not pitched it back, not thrown it, and I have run that thing all the way out to the sidelines before I made the decision.
“Because I couldn’t get whatever it took, it wasn’t right for me to make the decision.
“And so what our fans, what you’re seeing, what we deal with is we’re buying time.
“We’re option-quarterbacking, and we’re going out toward the sideline, and we haven’t handed it, we haven’t pitched it.
“We’re trying to make our mind up [with] what to do? Does that sound like Mahomes to you? A little bit?”
