NFL star Caleb Williams showed off his huge potential with an insane shovel pass during his first drive for Chicago Bears.

The No. 1 Draft pick hit running back D’Andre Swift with what appeared to be a no-look pass during the 33-6 preseason victory over the Buffalo Bills .

Swift then ran 42 yards downfield for the Bears’ longest play of the game, with the drive ending in a field goal.

Many fans went wild for Williams’ epic improvisational and playmaking skills during the game at Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park, New York, on Saturday.

“Caleb Williams doing his best Patrick Mahomes impression,” one fan said.

“Can’t teach that,” a second fan said.

“Bears are back,” a third fan noted.

Williams revealed it wasn’t a no-look pass as he spotted Swift’s orange gloves before making the clever throw.

    “I did see [Swift]. It wasn’t a no-look,” Williams told reporters .

“I wish I could claim it was, but it wasn’t…

“So I saw it open and I could feel the defenders breaking through the line, which they should on a screen.

“So [the] offensive line did a great job making it seem believable that they were gonna let up a sack.

“Then [I] tossed it over the [defender’s] head and we got around 40 yards or so, so it was great.”

After the game, Bears head coach Matt Eberflus was full of praise for new new quarterback.

“You guys have seen it in practice, his ability to get the ball out of his hands really fast when pressure arrives,” Eberflus said .

“And that happens sometimes on those screens.

“I thought he did a really nice job getting the ball to him cleanly.

“And, obviously, Swift is a guy who’s really dynamic and has really got a lot of speed.”

Later in the game, Williams wowed fans when he faked a handoff to running back Khalil Herbert, rolled right and hit tight end Cole Kmet with a 26-yard pass down the touchline.

“We’ve been repping this play for a while now, and just getting those reps in has been key,” Williams said.

“You come out on gameday and the seas part and Cole is running down the sideline.

“My job is just to get him the ball in space and let our players like Cole and them do their magic…

“Cole did a great job selling it and breaking it to the corner.”

Williams is hugely excited for the season ahead after making a dazzling preseason debut for the Bears.

“You have to understand where we are and understand what we have and where we’re headed — that’s the most important thing,” Williams said.

“But you also have to be where your feet are. So when you’re out there on the field preparing for this game, you’re enjoying it, you’re having fun, you’re having a blast on the field.

“When we get in early tomorrow, we take a step back, we go through the tape and then onto the next preseason [game].

“You take it from there and you keep growing, you keep growing, you keep growing and then we just keep counting those days, counting those hours and getting after it.”
