And he was at it again Saturday as he tried to fire up the Browns for the preseason clash against the Green Bay Packers.
Winston’s teammates were feeling the hype as the intensity continued to grow.
NFL fans were also pumped on social media as they responded to the clip.
“Can’t wait until he’s one day analyzing games in the booth. Going to be so entertaining,” said one.
“I’m ready to run through a wall Jameis,” posted another.
“Winston will have the greatest pre and post game highlight reels of all time,” added a third.
“I’m ready to suit up,” a fourth commented.
“Bruh I love Jameis,” wrote a fifth.
Winston completed four of five passes for 30 yards before being rested.
The Browns lost 23-10 but will have been happy to take a look at their 90-man roster before cuts.
In an interview with Pardon My Take earlier this year, Winston explained his “Eat a W” expression.
“I’ve been eating W’s since the beginning,” Winston said.
“It started a long, long time ago, and that’s because my last name is W and the first four letters of my last name spells out ‘wins.’ Go and fact check me, it’s probably right on Wikipedia.
“It all stemmed from one of my favorite motivational speeches and it all surrounds about a bowl of, do y’all remember the soup? The alphabet soup.

With this season’s schedule now revealed, eager NFL fans are looking to secure tickets to their favorite games.
You can start buying tickets for some games on several sites now:
Before purchasing tickets on resale websites check pricing as they are third-party sellers and, importantly, the cost can vary depending on demand. You may pay more than an official ticket, though you can also get good last-minute deals too.
But if you can’t be there in person, don’t worry, there’s still time to set up your stream before the season starts.
You can also keep up to date with the latest NFL coverage right here at The U.S. Sun.
“We’re eating everything, and we’re only looking for W’s in the alphabet soup.
“There’s a lot of different options out there, but we’re looking for W’s and we’re eating all of the W’s in the alphabet soup.”
Winston will back up Deshaun Watson this season after joining the Browns in March.
He explained that he watched Watson help Clemson defeat Alabama in the 2017 National Championship and is delighted to be his teammate.
“I saw him get beat up. But he persevered,” Winston said.
“And I think through his whole life, when you think of where he grew up, Deshaun was built for adversity. He was built for resilience. So, honestly, I know he respects everyone’s opinion.
“But the most important opinion to him is himself. And I know he’s working through a lot of different things, but he’s happy.
“He’s poised. He isn’t fazed by anything anyone has to say because he’s on a mission to be the best quarterback he possibly can be.
“He knows the magnitude and expectation that a lot of people have for him.
“But if you think that Deshaun Watson has a lesser expectation than all the fans or all of you have of him, then you’re short-changing yourself because he has high expectations.
“He wants to be — and will be — a Super Bowl-winning quarterback.
“And honestly, that’s what I’m here for, because I guarantee you, I’m feeding that into him. I’m making sure that he knows that. And he really doesn’t need my help because he has it.”
