Hoda, 60, was shocked when her co-host Jenna Bush Hager said that they had a special message for her.
Sandra , who appeared via video message, said that she had a lot of funny things prepared but she was “too tired” because she made her way up the mountain (to 60) before Hoda did.

“Happy birthday, my sweet friend. Thank you for letting me into your circle. I feel very grateful,” Sandra, 60, said.

“We’re all pretty lucky to have you.”
The Today host said it was “too much!” and wiped away tears when the video ended.
Hoda told Jenna, 42, that Sandra inspired her to become a mom at her age because Sandra also adopted kids later in life.
This is one of Sandra’s first public appearances since her partner’s death in August 2023.
His family shared the news in a statement to People .
“It is with great sadness that we share that on Aug 5, Bryan Randall passed away peacefully after a three-year battle with ALS,” they wrote at the time.
“Bryan chose early to keep his journey with ALS private and those of us who cared for him did our best to honor his request.”
Everything is amazing because you made it that way. Thank you for being so incredible to so many people.
