He was found to have sustained zero injuries from the crash and was allowed to participate in team meetings afterwards.

Andrews was scheduled to attend football practice on Wednesday, but has been given time off to recover.

The Ravens expect him to return to practice within a few days.

Fans shared an outpouring of support for the tight end following the accident, sharing how thankful they are that he is okay.

“Happy to hear he and any others are okay,” one fan said.

“Not gonna lie, I was terrified after that first sentence,” another fan said.

“Glad hes ok but damn my heart stopped for a second,” a third fan said.

“Thank god he’s okay,” a fourth fan said.

Andrews released a statement following the accident thanking fans for their kind words.

“I appreciate everyone’s thoughts and well wishes,” he said .

“This is a great reminder about the importance of wearing seatbelts and remaining alert while driving a car.”

Luckily for the Ravens, the car crash won’t keep Andrews out of any games during the NFL season.

That scenario could have been a major headache after Andrews already missed time last season due to an ankle injury.

He was forced into surgery following a nasty tackle in November last year, that saw him out of the lineup until the AFC Championship game.

He was initially meant to miss the remainder of the season, but an intense rehab routine got him back for the big game.

Andrews only played 10 regular season games in 2023, and with a monumental year ahead, the Ravens will need all hands on deck to stop the Kansas City Chiefs from three-peating.

The Ravens lost to the Chiefs in the AFC Championship game and are as motivated as anyone to take them down in 2024.

Their quest starts in Week 1, as the AFC Championship game rematch kicks off the NFL season on Thursday, September 5.
