“For my 30-plus year career, 100% of my blood, sweat, and tears has gone into putting on the best performance and creating a memorable experience for my fans,” he wrote .

“I have every intention of doing that for this tour as well, which is why I have to postpone tonight’s show and reschedule it for a later date to give my body a second to rest and heal.”

“You’re still going to get a bit of the past, present, and unique look into the future on the rescheduled date, but you’ll also be getting 100% of me,” Usher , 45, continued.

Usher said that he “didn’t want to disappoint fans,” especially those who have been waiting for the tour to start.

“However, I wouldn’t be the entertainer that I am if I can’t physically give you my best,” he went on.

The singer said his team will share the new date for State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia , soon .

“I can’t wait to celebrate this legacy with you,” Usher ended.

Today was the first day of his Past Present Future Tour.

There are two more shows in Atlanta, Usher’s hometown, on August 16 and 17, but it is not confirmed if they will still go on as scheduled.

    ‘INSANE!’

Usher fans reacted to the cancellation news in the comments.

“Canceling it hours before is insane though you could have said something yesterday,” one Instagram user wrote.

“Of course we want you healed and able to put on the best show possible. HOWEVER, there was something special about going to the first show. Now we won’t get that experience,” said another.

“Hours before the show is insane… what about my hotel and flight???” added a third.

“I respect the message. I also hope artists acknowledge there are people who spend a lot of money (travel, everyday arrangement modifications, outfits, etc ) and can’t do it twice,” said one fan.
