TAYLOR Swift sent fans wild as she welcomed her pal Ed Sheeran to the stage for a surprise collaboration at Wembley tonight.

Taylor’s close friend Ed , 33, joined her at the iconic stadium to perform a medley of their 2012 collaboration Everything Has Changed and 2017’s End Game, as well as Ed’s solo single Thinking Out Loud.

He privately vowed to be there for the show to provide moral support to the superstar, who marked her return to the stage tonight for the first time since the Southport murders and a foiled ISIS terror plot .

A source said: “Ed and Taylor have been friends for well over a decade and are very close.

“He has seen how the last few weeks have impacted her and wanted to be there to support her.

“It meant the world to Taylor to have him there on such a tough night.”

Tonight’s emotional gig followed the tragic deaths of Bebe King, six, Alice Aguiar, nine, and seven-year-old Elsie Dot Stancombe, who were killed in a devastating knife rampage at the Taylor Swift-inspired event in Southport on July 29.

In a statement following the tragedy, Taylor said: “The horror of yesterday’s attack in Southport is washing over me continuously, and I’m just completely in shock.

“The loss of life and innocence and the horrendous trauma inflicted on everyone who was there, the families, the first response.

“These were just little kids at a dance class. I am at a complete loss for how to ever convey my sympathies.

“I am at a complete loss for how to ever convey my sympathies to these families.”

Just days later, Taylor cancelled all three Eras Tour concerts in Vienna, after police halted an ISIS terror plot.

But tonight’s concert went ahead as the megastar wowed frenzied Swifties as she performed almost three hours worth of her greatest hits.

She kicked things off wearing huge peach-coloured feathers as she sang opener Miss Americana and the Heartbreak Prince.

The music icon then changed into a range of outfits as she put on a thrilling performance in the capital.

Following her first songs, Taylor took a moment to take in the sight of the 92,000 fans in front of her and said: “Well fancy meeting you here at Wembley stadium, London .”

Idris Elba , her US publicist Tree Paine, One Day actress Ambika Mod and Chicken Shop Date legend Amelia Dimoldenberg were watching in VIP section, as well as Jameela Jamil .

Alex Scott and her girlfriend Jess Glynne were also in attendance.

Before singing fan favourite track, All Too Well, Taylor addressed her adoring fans in an emotional speech.

“Are we enjoying it so far, London?” she asked.

“It is so wild coming to the end of this part of the tour. It is a walk down memory lane. If you were lucky enough to be at Wembley back in June, thank you for coming back.”

She continued: “Thank you so much for coming, I know how much planning, effort and energy it takes to come so thank you

“This is about old memories and revisiting them.”

And as she moved into the Folklore section of the evening, she expressed her sadness about the end of the Eras tour, which will wrap in December.

“This is incredible, we are going to miss it so much,” she said.

Why Taylor Swift tickets are WORTH forking out for

Fabulous Digital Writer Leanne Hall doesn't regret shelling out for Taylor tickets. She explains why:

Surviving The Great War for Taylor Swift tickets was no easy task.

When I first got a code, me and my friends were sure we’d be able to get good tickets at a reasonable price.

But after waiting in a queue of more than 30,000 people, and getting to the finish line we were shocked by just how expensive they were.

Most people who wanted tickets The Eras Tour were willing to spend hundreds, as were we.

But we soon thought twice when the only tickets coming up were almost £700 a pop and not even close to the stage.

Accepting defeat for now, we decided to wait it out and check the site constantly for two weeks before her ‘VIP packages’ dropped in price (A good call considering all you got was a tote bag, some postcards and a seat in the nosebleeds).

Finally prices went down to a more reasonable but still pricey £200, and we leapt at the chance to grab them.

Would I have spent this much on any other concert? Probably not, but as a die-hard Swiftie I was willing to do anything to see her in the flesh.

Personally, I love Taylor, and the fact she is performing for over three hours when most artists perform for an hour or so, makes it worth spending the extra money on.

However, £700 for a ticket is outrageous and it’s even more devastating forking out nearly £500 in the hopes of seeing her only to be conned.
