RICKY Gervais has served up plans for a tennis court as part of a massive garden makeover at his new £14.75 million London home.

The award-winning comedian and actor has splashed out on a seven-bedroom pad which boasts a cinema, bar, gym, steam room, sauna and wine cellar.

But now he wants to rip up his back garden and replace it with a new permeable sports surface “for the occasional game of tennis”.

He also wants to demolish a basketball court, “outdated” waterwall, octagonal pagoda and retaining walls as part of a Ground Force-style revamp.

The After Life and The Office star needs planning permission from the local council because his home lies in a designated conservation area, in leafy North London.

Gervais and long term girlfriend Jane Fallon, a best-selling novelist, currently share a £10.8million, eight-bed home in London with a pool and summer house.

They recently unveiled a badminton court on Instagram, joking: “S**t just got real #badminton.”

Even with the newly-installed court, there’s plenty of room in the garden, which boasts a flagstone patio and perfectly manicured foliage.

The couple moved into their “ambassadorial” mansion back in 2015, after putting their Hampstead Heath pad up for sale.

The lavish digs boasts three bathrooms, four reception rooms and a summer house.

Jane often gives her followers glimpses into her home with Ricky, including their grand staircase, dark wood flooring and ornately-carved antique chairs.

She also has an office with a bright pink statement wall, floor-to-ceiling bookshelves and a doll’s house.

They also own a £3million riverside home in Marlow, Buckinghamshire, and two apartments in Manhattan.

Ricky picked up the Buckinghamshire pad in 2016 and he refers to it as “his little country retreat” on X.

Officials are expected to make a decision on the garden plans next month and there have so far been no objections from neighbours.

If planning permission is granted, building work is expected to take five months to complete.

Ricky’s show, After Life follows the life of a journalist called Tony, who works for his local paper in a made-up town called Tambury.

It documents Tony’s struggles after becoming a widower when his wife Lisa sadly dies of cancer.

Tony hits rock bottom and contemplates suicide a number of times, but is saved by his beloved dog Brandy.

Afterlife premiered back in March 2019 and with the second season following shortly after in April 2020.

The third series hit screens in 2021 and was described by Ricky as “the show’s last outing”.
