    Schitt’s Creek stars Eugene and Dan Levy to host 76th Emmy Awards as father and son duo make history on ceremony

    HISTORY has been made as the hosts for the 76th Primetime Emmy Awards have been revealed.

    Schitt’s Creek stars Dan Levy, 41, and his dad Eugene Levy, 77, will lead the annual awards ceremony this year.

    The news was revealed on Good Morning America on Friday.

    The pair, who made history four years ago as the first father-son duo to win Emmy Awards in the same year, will now take the stage together.

    Eugene and his son are no strangers to sharing a mic, however.

    The two previously made a splash with their opening monologue at the 2020 SAG Awards .

    Fans on social media have been showing excitement over the duo’s upcoming gig.

    “Hmmm……I might actually watch the Emmys this year,” one person tweeted.

    A second said it was the “best choice in years.”

    “Great selection! I bet the ratings will be excellent,” another wrote.

    The 76th Emmy Awards will air live on ABC on September 15 at 8 pm EST.

    Comedian Anthony Anderson , 54, last hosted the 75th Emmys in January.

    The ceremony, scheduled to air in September 2023, was rescheduled due to the writers’ and actors’ strikes.

    “With our industry’s recent challenges behind us, we can get back to what we love — dressing up and honoring ourselves,” the We Are Family host said regarding the telecast.

    “When Fox asked me to host this historic telecast, I was over the moon that Taylor Swift was unavailable,” he joked.

    “Now, I can’t wait to be part of the biggest night in television.”

    The nominees for the 76th Awards were announced last month by Sheryl Lee Ralph and Tony Hale.

    FX’s Shōgun led the board with 25 nominations, followed by Hulu’s The Bear with 23.

    Selena Gomez also snagged her first acting nomination for Only Murders in the Building.

    While many fans thought the child star was deserving, others thought it was proof that the Emmys would “be a chop this year.”
