His love of the sport began during his childhood when Fernandes used to play football on the streets with his older brother Ricardo.

What does Bruno Fernandes’ celebration mean?

Each time he scores, he will perform his “I can’t hear you” celebration which consists of him covering both of his ears with his hands.

Fernandes said: “Matilde, she used to love football. She was the reason why I always did my ‘I can’t hear you’ goal celebration, because whenever we asked her nicely to put her toys away, she would put her hands over her ears and say, ‘What??? I can’t hear you, daddy. I can’t heaaaarrrrr yooooouuu’.”

However, it seems that his daughter Matilde isn’t too happy with her dad when he forgets his celebration.

Fernandes added: “Whenever I would forget to do the celebration, she would never let me hear the end of it.

“‘Why didn’t you do it, Daddy? You forgot about me!’ She watched every match.

    NOTHING stays the same forever.

And that includes the Premier League, which is making a number of tweaks this season.

Team news will now be released 75 MINUTES before kick-off, 15 minutes earlier than had been the case before.

Things could get crowded on the touchline, with the number of substitutes permitted to warm-up boosted from three players per team to FIVE .

There’s also a change to how added time is calculated when a team scores a goal, an update to the ‘multiball’ system and the introduction of semi-automated offsides – but not straight away.
