CHICAGO Bears quarterback Caleb Williams showed what all the hype was about in the 27-3 preseason win over the Cincinnati Bengals.

The No. 1 overall pick scored his first touchdown for the Bears – and it took NFL fans’ breath away.

Williams , 22, was spectacular on the entire drive, which wrapped up Chicago’s first half on the rough Soldier Field turf .

The former University of Southern California first put his ridiculous footwork on display when he spun out of the pocket as it started to crumble and then connected with Rome Odunze on a 45-yard catch.

A couple of incompletions followed, and then the Cincinnati defense shut down all of the Bears rookie’s pass options on third-and-down.

Williams then put on a show, leading to a stunning scramble touchdown.

Pressure started to mount on the quarterback from the moment Chicago snapped the ball.

But the DC native remained calm, dancing around Bengals linebackers – two of which ended up tumbling to the ground.

Williams finally strutted past the numbers on the field and then took off toward the end zone.

“That field is his playground,” the game analyst said on the broadcast.

And NFL fans on social media had similar observations.

“Caleb Williams is out here playing Madden,” one posted on X.

“Throws like [Patrick] Mahomes and scrambles like Russ [Wilson],” another added.

“Caleb Williams is so good bro wtf,” a third said.

“Yea I’m convinced Caleb Williams will be the biggest thing in Chicago since [Michael] Jordan in 87 after he won the slam dunk contest,” one wrote.

Williams had to warm up a little before he could put on a show in his Soldier Field debut.

The field didn’t look great on Saturday afternoon having seemingly been roughened up during last week’s Metallica concert at the arena.

Even the Bears front office seemed to be concerned by the turf’s condition, inspecting some of the spots before tip-off.

The turf appeared to have been re-sodded following the Metallica gig, sports anchor Kaitlin Sharkey reported.

The Bengals clash came after Chicago beat the Buffalo Bills 33-6 to go 2-0 up in the preseason.
