William Shatner says he never wears socks, thinks people live on the sun & backs controversial theory in bizarre chat

STAR Trek legend William Shatner has gone where very few people have boldly gone before – by admitting he doesn’t wear socks.

The TV icon , 93, told Chicago Radio station 77 WABC he prefers being barefooted because he “wants to travel as light as possible.”

In a brilliantly bizarre chat with host Frank Morano, the alien-loving Shatner claimed that “entities” live on the sun and that the world is flat.

The T.J Hooker star was promoting his new Fox Nation show Are They Among Us? which delves deep into the paranormal.

But there is nothing ordinary about his lack of socks.

STUNNING ADMISSION

Shatner sent some of his devoted Trekkies into a social media meltdown after showing off his bare ankles at a recent show in New York.

Now, however, there is cosmic confirmation about his controversial wardrobe choices.

“I don’t wear socks,” Shatner admitted on Morano’s The Other Side of Midnight show on the Red Apple Audio Network.

“Maybe I have to let my pants get longer. The choice of what to wear is a big choice. I am going to get on an airplane from warm southern California and get to Chicago, which is a little cooler, but it’s still the middle of the summer. What am I going to wear?”

Canadian Shatner, who resides in California, said there’s a deep thought process which paved the way for his socking admission.

“My shoulders hurt, so I have to get the roll-on up above my head, so there’s a lot of things to consider that the people coming to the event have no idea, and one of them is – should I wear socks or just my running shoes, comfortable shoes which I wear all day long,” he continued with a chuckle.

“I have swollen ankles because I am on a plane for five hours. The next day I turn around and fly to San Francisco for another five hours. The mechanics of getting ready to do this involve should I wear socks or not?”

CONTROVERSIAL COSMIC VIEW

Shatner, who took his place amongst the stars after marshaling the Starship Enterprise in the ’60s, is better placed than most to answer the eternal question that has mystified people for years: Is there anything out there?

He is adamant that the answer is yes, as well as stressing that the earth is flat and that there are “entities” living on the sun.

Shatner, known to millions worldwide as Captain Kirk, flew to space in 2021 onboard Jeff Bezos’ Blue Origin rocket.

He’s one of a select band of people who have seen planet Earth from the deep unknown.

So it’s no surprise to hear him admit the Flat Earth Group—who scoff at suggestions that the planet we live on is round like a globe—has it absolutely spot on.

FLAT CHANCE

Believers of the theory say Earth resembles a flat plane or disk, with the North Pole at the center and a large ice wall, often associated with Antarctica, surrounding the edges to hold in the oceans.

“I was asked by the Flat Earth group to say something about whether the earth was flat. And I have been around it, and my opinion is that the earth is flat, so few people want to believe it,” Shatner continued.

“It is flat, I have been there, it’s flat and they wanted to know whether the sun was a planet and if anyone was living there. There are things, entities living on the sun, sending out rays that warms our planet.

“I want to assure your audience those things are true.”

OUT OF THIS WORLD

Shatner has long been associated with extraterrestrial quests, and his new show aims to investigate obscure, mysterious sightings in the sky.

He is worried about Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams , the two Navy veterans who are stuck in space until potentially 2025 – “you could see the radar and the blips shuttling around, it’s very mysterious. We live in a question” – but remains fascinated about otherworldly beings.

“There is more going on now in this decade than ever before,” he explained.

“But then there is no succinct information. No one has said, ‘Excuse me, sir, are you an alien?’ and the person says, ‘Yes, I am from the planet whatever.’ No one has done that. Why?

“Our film asks the question: What’s going on?”
