GEORGIA Tech head coach Brent Key made a comical remark about his team after pulling off the shocking upset over Florida State in college football’s season opener.

The Yellow Jackets beat the No. 10 ranked Florida State Seminoles on an Aidan Birr 44-yard field goal as time expired at Aviva Stadium in Dublin, Ireland.

Georgia Tech shocked the nation with their victory after previously losing 15 straight to top-10 NCAA teams.

The Yellow Jackets dominated up-front, recording 190 rushing yards as a team.

The Georgia Tech head coach Key was interviewed by ESPN reporter Katie George, who asked him about the offensive line’s performance.

“Are you kidding me? Run the ball!” Key said.

Social media users were in hysterics over Key’s statement to the world.

“I’m (sharing this) now so every football fan will be able to use (this video) about 50 billion times the next few months,” one commented.

“If someone ran for president and this was their platform, they’d heal the world,” another wrote.

“Being done in by someone who says this after the game, he has earned my respect,” a third added.

Key was a former offensive lineman who became Georgia Tech’s full-time head coach after the 2022 season.

Running back Jamal Haynes posted 75 rushing yards and scored two touchdowns on the ground.

The Yellow Jackets needed just 16 pass attempts from transfer signal-caller Haynes King, who posted 176 passing yards and rushed for 75 yards on 11 attempts.

“We’ve got 100 guys who play as one,” Key continued.

Georgia Tech had control of the possession for the contest’s last 6 minutes and 33 seconds.

The Seminoles, meanwhile, allowed two third-down conversions in that drive.

The Yellow Jackets had a 12-yard gain on a 3rd-and-17 play to set up the game-winner.

Florida State’s DJ Uiagalelei completed 19 of 27 passes for 193 yards in his debut with the school.

Uiagelalei had converted two fourth-down plays in the Seminoles’ fourth-quarter touchdown drive that tied the game at 21.

They wouldn’t get the ball back.

Florida State took the loss in Week 0 after coming off an undefeated regular season.

They will play host to Boston College on September 2.

Georgia Tech will play home against Georgia State on August 31.
