Theme park owned by pasta sauce company has thrill rides, water slides, and special ‘Spaghetti Wednesdays’

LIFE is full of pasta-abilities, including a theme park with special food events.

Foodies and travelers can have the time of their lives at DelGrosso’s Amusement Park in Tipton, Pennsylvania.

The Italian-themed attraction boasts a splash water park with rides like wave pools, slides, and a lazy river.

Visitors can go for a trip down the Super Slide, the largest slide on park grounds, which ends with an overhead splash into a huge pool.

Those who need a helping hand can go with a buddy down the Twin Twister, a duo slide that allows passengers to race to the bottom with a friend.

Wave simulators, like the park’s Wave Oceano, allow swimmers to enjoy the feel of the ocean without all the dangers.

The six-foot-deep 312,000-gallon wave pool provides waves up to six feet for a realistic experience.

DelGrosso’s large selection of thrill rides also won’t leave adrenaline junkies disappointed.

The family-friendly Free Fall takes riders to the top and sends them plummeting at different intervals.

The more extreme X-Scream Tower does the same but at a height of 120 feet, reaching a maximum speed of 57 miles per hour for willing daredevils.

Rock Star takes passengers on top of a flying platform and sends them into free-fall in full 360-degree motions.

The Crazy Mouse roller coaster, with mouse-themed cars, will send riders hurtling through loops and turns at negative vertical G forces.

Owned by DelGrosso Sauces, the amusement park hosts weekly “Spaghetti Wednesdays.”

The meal deal includes a patron’s choice of spaghetti with the brand’s signature meatballs and sauce for $11 or the weekly pasta feature for $12.

Meals include complimentary soda and dinner rolls, with extras like salad and rolls available.

Traditional theme park fare, such as cheeseburgers, hot dogs, pizza, and fries, are also available on-site at Pappy Fred’s Pizzeria and Murf’s Kitchen.

Those with a sweet tooth can drop by Midway Treats, with menus spotlighting classics like candy apples, milkshakes, root beer floats, nachos, and cotton candy.

DelGrosso was the brainchild of Marianna Pulcino, who brought her pasta sauce recipe over to America when she immigrated in 1911 .

After getting married to Ferdinand DelGrosso, the two opened up Delgrosso’s Cafe in Pennsylvania, which was soon named “the best spaghetti dinner in town.”

Soon after allowing customers to purchase their sauces, DelGrosso saw an opportunity to capitalize on the family recipe.

In 1946, he sold the family business and purchased a nearby amusement park, Bland’s, which, after many decades of renovation, was bestowed with the same family title.
