I found a thrift store that sells lost and found items from Disney World – everything is $1 if you know the right day

DISNEY fans and budget shoppers will be overjoyed to discover hundreds of discounted goods at a thrift store just miles away from the theme park.

Disney World attracts millions of visitors every year looking for fun and laughter, but it’s also home to thousands of items lost during family vacations.

From sunglasses to themed Disney ears, or even a shirt or pair of pants, the theme park sees all kinds of items left behind.

In a bid to give these items a second life, and lower massive amounts of waste, Disney World donates many of these lost and found items to a nearby thrift store.

The Hope Chest is located at 1802 W Broadway St. in Oviedo, Florida – just 40 miles away from the iconic amusement park.

Social media influencer Genesis ( @beercutieandfoodie ) highlighted the thrift store in a video shared on Instagram, calling it a “little hidden secret.”

Here, Disney fans and savvy shoppers can find all kinds of donated lost and found goods from the parks including Disney-themed ears and souvenirs .

Shoppers can even find high-quality and luxury brand sunglasses for only $15.

“When I discovered this I knew I had to share it with all of you!” Genesis wrote in the post’s caption.

Not only can shoppers find the best accessories and clothing for their next Disney trip, but the thrift store offers massive discounts .

Every Saturday the store holds an “epic” $1 sale, the social media influencer said.

While customers are limited to 30 items, a wide section of the store is available for just a dollar.

Other Instagram users raved over the thrift shop find, with one person saying, “This looks great for my next roadtrip up north.”

“Wwwhhhaaatttt,” another said, shocked.

“Amazing,” a third chimed in.

The Hope Chest is open from 9 am to 5 pm Tuesday through Saturday, and is typically closed on Sundays and Mondays.

Valuable thrifting finds revealed

Here are some of the best thrift store finds:

• Tiffany & Co. earrings that sold for $0.34 and are valued at $430
• American Girl doll that sold for $5.99 and is valued at $300
• Bionicle toy that sold for $14.95 and is valued at $18.101
• Gold record plaque for DJ Quik’s 1992 album Way 2 Fonky that sold for @20 and is valued at $200
• Rothy’s brand Sugared Berry pointed-toe flats that sold for $155 retail and are valued at $250

OTHER THRIFT BARGAINS

This isn’t the only deal-filled thrift store Genesis has found for Florida Disney fans.

In Winter Park, the social media influencer stumbled across The Boys & Girls Club of Central Florida, which also stocks donated lost and found items from the theme park.

In this store, Genesis found items like clothing, hats, toys, shoes, backpacks, and luxury sunglasses from brands like Prada and Rayban.

“The real deal – not fake. I snagged so many,” she said in a TikTok video in February.

This thrift store is open from 10 am to 6 pm Monday through Saturday, and 11 am to 5 pm on Sunday.

It is located at 2054 State Road 436 – around a 50-minute drive from the Disney parks.
