As each host was featured, a glimpse of the new studio in downtown New York City could be seen behind them.
The set featured a backdrop of the city, gold pillars, brown velvet chairs, clay vases, and plenty of greenery.
“An all-new season of The View, from our new home,” the narrator added, while promising fans the “topics would be hot” and viewers would be in for a few surprises.
Fans expressed excitement over the new season in the comments, with one writing, “I’m here for it, Ladies! Make some noise!”
“Yippee!! Can’t wait for my ladies to return!! I miss you all!” a second wrote.
“Honestly this is my superbowl,” a third joked.
NEW STUDIO, WHO DIS?
On Wednesday, an insider close to The View’s production exclusively told The U.S. Sun that the new studio cost roughly $10 million.
The high price point of the new downtown Manhattan studio reportedly has network staffers “furious” to hear about the major expenditure.
“They’re in the process of moving all the rest of the cast and crew’s personal items from the old ABC studios uptown to their new studios downtown,” the source said.
“People are furious about the move. Another 150 people got fired at the start of this month meanwhile The View is spending $10 million on a brand-new set.”
The insider said that everything on the set is completely new.
“They aren’t telling everyone it’s a brand-new set, because they don’t want to upset everyone getting let go,” they added.
“But they are not bubble-wrapping things to bring over, this is all new. New View table, new chairs, brand new background, all designed from scratch.
“This is a multi-million-dollar set,” they continued. “Even the mugs are new!”
BATHROOM DRAMA
Earlier this month, The U.S. Sun exclusively reported that Whoopi wasn’t too pleased about her dressing room in the new studio.
