Hunter had a massive performance in the Buffaloes’ 31-26 win on Thursday, catching seven passes for 132 yards.

He also connected with quarterback Shedeur Sanders for three touchdowns in the opening win.

The strong performance on Thursday was just a continuation of what fans saw from him last season.

Hunter only played in nine of the Buffaloes’ 12 games last season, but he pulled in 721 yards with three touchdowns.

At the same time, he also played defense and hauled in three interceptions in his nine games in 2023.

Hunter is also playing defense this year and is continuing to lock down opposing players as a cornerback.

Fans have once again been baffled by Hunter’s talent and have praised him on social media.

“Was so much fun to watch.. Hunter is must see TV,” one fan wrote.

“Kids got talent!!” another fan said.

“Colorado will be a fun team to watch,” a third fan said.

“He’s going to have one of the best two way seasons ever in college football and might be a top 3 pick,” a fourth fan said.

“How do you not draft him first? He potentially is all pro caliber on both sides of the ball. His ball skills are crazy,” a fifth fan said.

Hunter wasn’t the only Buffalo to ball out in Colorado’s opening game this year.

Fellow wide receiver Jimmy Horn Jr. also went off in the win, catching seven passes for 198 yards.

He hauled in the second of the Buffaloes’s four touchdowns on a 70-yard play.

Sanders had a commanding day at quarterback, dishing the ball around to his pass-catchers.

He passed for 445 yards with four touchdowns and an unlucky interception that bounced off a player’s foot.

Sanders also rushed for 17 yards on the day and was only sacked once by the defense.

Colorado is off to a 1-0 start but still has much to prove before it is considered a true contender.

The Buffaloes started their season 3-0 last season before finishing the year 4-8, a record they will try to flip in 2024.
