USC Trojans reveals jaw-dropping hype video ahead of huge showdown with rival LSU Tigers in Las Vegas

THE University of Southern California has released a fierce hype video as the Trojans prepare for a big bout against Louisiana State University on Sunday night.

The college football game will take place in Las Vegas , Nevada at Allegiant Stadium, home of the NFL ‘s Las Vegas Raiders .

The No. 23 ranked Trojans will face the powerhouse No. 13 Tigers in Week 1 of the 2024 season.

While USC, now part of the Big Ten, will have a huge challenge ahead of them on the field against their SEC rivals, the school’s social media department stepped up to provide a hype video for the game.

The one-minute, 30-second clip first displayed an animated knight slamming a sword into the ground in a black-and-white galaxy filled with knights and a big horse.

The video then showed a group of USC players in a red-lit room to make it look like they were in a plane.

After showing an animated plane in a stormy cloud-filled sky , the clip displayed the players celebrating as the Metro Boomin hit song Like That played in the background.

Safety Akili Arnold then jumped out of the plane and landed on a football field.

The clip then displayed all the USC’s stars getting hyped outside of the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum – the school’s home field.

Arnold slammed a sword into the field as the video zoomed in on the torch over the stadium before zooming out and showing the Coliseum in the distance of a spooky dark atmosphere.

The ending of the clip displayed the wording “Arrival of the Trojan” in the sky as a plane flew over it.

Social media users were pumped after watching the chaos-filled video.

“Oh yeah this goes hard,” one commented.

“Give that creative director a raise,” a second added.

“Fantastic animating work,” a third said.

Sunday will be USC’s first game in the Big Ten after the recent conference realignment.

The Trojans have lesser expectations from last season after the departure of 2022 Heisman Trophy winner Caleb Williams to the NFL this year.

Lincoln Riley’s USC squad disappointed in its last season in the Pac-12 in 2023, missing the playoffs after a hot start.

The Trojans will rely on junior quarterback Miller Moss, who will be making his second career start.

Brian Kelly’s LSU team will be starting quarterback Garrett Nussmeier, who also has big shoes to fill.

Nussmeier is replacing 2023 Heisman Trophy winner Jayden Daniels .

The game begins at 7:30 pm Eastern on ABC.
