APPLE is offering a special perk to eligible Americans ahead of the release of the iPhone 16 and other cutting-edge gadgets.

The tech giant is showing thanks to current or former members of the U.S. Military, National Guard, and Reserve with a 10% discount.

The Veterans and Military Purchase Program offers savings on various products and accessories, including iPhones, iPads, and Apple Watches .

To start shopping, confirm your Veteran or active military status online. Apple uses a third-party service called ID.me to securely verify users’ identities.

The program was announced on December 3, 2018, unlocking a new world of possibilities for veterans and active-duty military alike.

Previously, military members could receive up to a 6% discount through the company’s federal government purchase program.

Moreover, some Apple products are sold through the base exchange system, eliminating sales tax .

The new program extended a 10% discount to items bought directly through the special online store.

While it has been around for years, the offer is especially attractive ahead of Apple’s unveiling of its latest product lineup.

Apple is slated to hold an announcement event at its Cupertino headquarters on September 9.

The firm’s newest fleet of products, including the much-awaited iPhone 16 series, will officially debut to the public.

And the perks don’t stop there, as Apple has other reward programs for eligible groups.

The retailer offers education pricing to current students – a deal that’s also available in the United Kingdom, Australia , and Canada .

Students 16 or older who are enrolled in a further or higher education institution – a college or university – can slash hundreds off their bill.

Shoppers can confirm their current enrollment by sharing their student ID or an acceptance letter.

The deal extends to parents of students who are buying an Apple device for them to use.

Moreover, professors and lecturers can benefit from the discount.

Those in non-teaching roles, like administrators and parent-teacher association executives, can also take advantage of the perk.

There are some limited-time offers, like the Back to School promotion, which ends on September 30.

Under the terms of this deal, users receive an Apple gift card with each purchase that can be redeemed at a later date.

You can get a $150 Apple gift card by purchasing an eligible iMac, MacBook Air, or MacBook Pro.

With the purchase of a Mac mini, you can receive a $100 gift card. The same offer extends to certain iPad Pro and Air models .
