Filling his seat on the ESPN set was Super Bowl champion and former Indianapolis Colts interim head coach, Jeff Saturday.

After the regular pleasantries were out of the way between Smith, Saturday, Molly Qerim , and Chris “Mad Dog” Russo, Stephen A. got straight to business.

Known for his fastidious on-air fashion sense, Smith was quick to call out Saturday for a fashion faux pas.

“Jeff Saturday, you do know the responsibility that comes with sitting in that chair,” he warned.

“Oh, here we go,” Qerim quickly responded.

“You do understand, that you’ve got to live up to it. So next time you show up, you show up with a tie!” Smith said sternly.

Despite Qerim’s insistence that “he’s a Super Bowl champion,” Smith persisted.

“You show up with a tie! And Doggy, fix yours!” he said.

Saturday remained unphased though, simply saying “It’s a casual day.”

As for Russo, he quickly got defensive, adjusting his patterned purple tie, insisting, “My tie’s good” as he looked over at Qerim seemingly for affirmation.

“The purple and grey, great color scheme,” Qerim told Russo before also praising his “great” hair.

However, Smith wasn’t going to let the subject go that easily.

“Doggy wore that tie two weeks ago. I’m just saying,” he added before Qerim moved the topic of discussion on to the upcoming NFL season.

The crew also revealed their predictions for the Kansas City Chiefs as they look to reach their seventh consecutive AFC title game, en route to what could be their third straight Super Bowl win.

Both Saturday and Smith agreed that the Chiefs would likely make it to the Super Bowl.

However, Smith did not believe they would win it all come February.

By comparison, Russo thinks Kansas City is “due” a loss.

He cited Kansas City having previously been on the winning side of up to five playoff games which could have gone very differently if it weren’t for one or two vital plays.

Kansas City will have their opportunity to prove the doubters wrong on Thursday night when they host the Baltimore Ravens at Arrowhead Stadium at 8:20 pm Eastern on NBC.

Viewers can also stream the game with subscription-based services Fubo, Peacock, NFL+, and YouTube TV.
