FAIRLEA W.Va. (WVDN) – Are you a person who loves watching butterflies lazily float among summer flowers? Perhaps you’re curious about what it would be like to get up close and personal with these winged beauties. Then the State Fair of West Virginia has the show for you this year. Available with paid admission to the Fair, Butterfly Encounter is sure to delight fair-goers of all ages. The show features 200-300 butterflies and 6 different species. A video is part of the educational exhibit that shows the life cycle of butterflies from egg to adult butterfly. There’s even a section on how to fix a broken wing. During the interactive show, feeding sticks are provided so fairgoers can feed and interact with the butterflies for the best experience possible. Butterfly kits will also be available to purchase so fairgoers can take home their own butterfly and watch the whole hatching process.

This is one amazing show you want to be sure to include in your fair experience.
