Wilson Arts’ annual fundraiser, “Miniature Masterpieces,” returned on Thursday, May 16, and drew a huge crowd of art lovers anxious to purchase one of the adorable small paintings contributed by local artists and students.

This was one of the first non-alcoholic events at Wilson Arts. Social distancing attendees were welcome. Returning bartenders Rayney Anderson and Stacey Matthews kept the crowd well-supplied with soft drinks and a variety of juices.

On the same night, the Edna Boykin Cultural Center was alive with music as the Moonlight Swing Band paid tribute to the Sardams’ 10th anniversary celebration. Another busy night after dark in downtown Wilson.
