Both Wilson Wawa locations to open Sept. 19

Wilson’s two Wawa locations will open their doors on Sept. 19.

The stores, located at 2650 Ward Blvd. and 5003 Raleigh Road Parkway W., will hold grand opening celebrations that day with ribbon-cuttings and community partner announcements.

“We are thrilled to continue our expansion into North Carolina with two stores opening on the same day in Wilson,” Director of Store Operations Kim Dowgielewicz said in a news release. “With our doubleheader openings, we look forward to bringing our unique brand of fresh food, beverages and convenience to Wilson and to further our commitment to providing our new friends and neighbors with not only a new level of convenience, but a strong, committed community partner.”

The Ward Boulevard location, across the street from Marty’s BBQ, will host a ribbon-cutting at 9 a.m. The Raleigh Road Parkway location, across the highway from Cracker Barrel, will hold its ribbon-cutting at 11 a.m. Both stores open for business at 8 a.m. Sept. 19.

The Wilson locations are two of Wawa’s first in North Carolina. The Pennsylvania-based convenience store chain is building additional stores in Rocky Mount, Kill Devil Hills, Elizabeth City, Goldsboro and Greenville.
