Rudder girls volleyball team wins AVCA's academic award for 16th straight year
The Rudder girls volleyball team earned the American Volleyball Coaches Association’s team academic award for the 16th straight year. The Lady Rangers had a 3.64 grade-point average. The AVCA’s minimum is 3.3. Rudder, under veteran coach Jacky Pence, has earned the award every year since the school opened. Rudder was among only 48 schools in the state out of 3,250 to earn the award this year.

Former Library Transforms into Fulshear Annex, Including Fulshear Community Health Clinic
Today, the Fort Bend County Health and Human Services (FBCHHS) Community Health Clinic opened its doors at the Fulshear Annex, the former location of the Bob Lutts Fulshear/Simonton Branch Library. The library, named after Commissioner Bob Lutts, was originally opened in May 1998 and served the community until its doors closed in May 2023 to make way for the new Fulshear Branch Library.
HPD investigate: Man found dead inside storage closet
HOUSTON (KIAH) – A man in his mid-twenties was found deceased inside of an apartment unit storage closet located at 9450 Woodfair on July 21. According to reports, the victim had been shot.
