According to a report from Chartable, Derrick Lee Cardello-Smith achieved a substantial victory in a recent legal battle against prominent music figure Sean 'Diddy' Combs, which is of particular interest to residents of Alabama who have been following developments related to Combs.

On August 8, 2024, Law and Crime's podcast revealed that Cardello-Smith alleges Combs sexually assaulted and drugged him at a party in 1997. Eventually, Cardello-Smith filed a civil lawsuit against Combs for the treatment he received on July 6, 2024.
While in virtual court, Cardello-Smith stated that Diddy came to visit him, while he is currently serving time at the Eanest SE Brooks Correctional Facility for his own legal matters stemming from sexual assault claims as well. During the visit, Diddy offered Cardello-Smith $2.3 million to end the case because he has other things 'going on in his life' consuming his money, and plans to sell his property.
Cardello-Smith also stated that Diddy told him he would not answer to his recent filing and would have a better chance of finding Cardello-Smith in default versus him being granted a restraining order.
Cardello-Smith further claims that before and during his incarceration, he invested in properties with Diddy, and Diddy selling the properties would make it harder for Cardello-Smith to win money in the judgment he has against Diddy.

"An injunction or retaining order would help ensure that he's not manipulating and selling the property to avoid this, his responsibility in these matters here. That's what a temporary restraining order would do. It would prevent that from happening. This is a very serious matter that involves a lot of money, and him selling this (properties) would help him avoid his liability for these actions," said Cardello-Smith.
Ultimately, the judge listened to everything Cardello-Smith had to say and granted him the temporary restraining order against Diddy stating that Diddy cannot sell or transfer the title or deed to any properties listed in the judgment.
The Diddy Experience
In Cardello-Smith's filing, he alleges that he participated in multiple 'freak-offs' with Diddy and multiple women in the past. During one session, Diddy showed interest in him causing Cardello-Smith to stop and sit on a nearby couch.
