Lauryn 'Pumpkin' Efird files for divorce after six years of marriage

Between 2012 and 2014, Alabamians may remember watching the reality television show Honey Boo Boo featuring child beauty pageant contestant Alana "Honey Boo Boo" Thompson and her family.

Over the years, fans have witnessed the family deal with problems such as Mama June's addiction problem, and in 2023, Anna "Chickadee" Cardwell, Mama June's daughter passed after being diagnosed with cancer.

Now the family is once again in the spotlight and this time it is due to Mama June's daughter Lauryn "Pumpkin" Efird filing for divorce from her husband of six years, Josh Efird, according to Entertainment News. The couple have four kids together.

The pair have agreed to share joint legal and physical custody, according to court documents obtained by E! News. They also have a parenting plan in place within the settlement agreement, and have each waived the right to request child support.

In 2018, Lauryn told US Weekly that in the past, she was told that having a child changed things in life and having a child was beneficial for them. She said, "Honestly I think a kid is maybe what we needed in our relationship. We've become closer than any other time. We both help each other out. It's like it's a team thing now."
