(Beaver Dam) The Wisconsin Department of Health is highlighting five crises stabilization facilities now open across the state, including one in Beaver Dam. Crisis stabilization facilities support people who cannot stay in their community safely, but do not need to be hospitalized. Funded by the Department of Health Services, the centers provide a dedicated location for this level of care for most counties.

Representing the Newest Military Service Branch
The American Legion Germantown Post #1 received a $5,000 Washington County Tourism grant, in order to prepare and install a flagpole representing the newest military service branch, the U.S. Space Force. It will be located at the Military Services Memorial in Germantown, at the corner of Park Avenue and Freistadt Road. The concept for the memorial was developed by Ken Puls, Jim Heimann and a third Vietnam veteran, Mel Ewert, who is deceased.

Representatives of Fond du Lac County, in partnership with the Ripon Noon and Early Bird Kiwanis Club are excited to announce the grand opening of the All-Inclusive. Playground at Riggs County Park on Douglas Street. On Saturday, July 13 th , at 11am, the County and the Kiwanis Clubs will be holding a ribbon cutting ceremony for the new playground at Riggs Park, which features play equipment suitable for children of all abilities, with a poured, rubber safety surface. The playground is a new addition to Riggs Park, sitting adjacent to the Splash Pad; which was also a project of the Ripon Noon Kiwanis.
