Evacuations issued for Thompson Fire in Oroville
BUTTE COUNTY, Calif. — Evacuations have been issued in Oroville due to a vegetation fire, being called the Thompson Fire. The Thompson Fire is reportedly burning 1,611 acres off Cherokee Road and Thompson Flat Cemetery in Oroville, according to Cal Fire's Butte Unit / Butte County Fire Department as of 3:44 p.m. They say a fire has spotted across the river in the Lakeland Boulevard area is 30-40 acres.
