52-Year-Old Worcester Man Arrested of Commercial Break In
WORCESTER – Police responded to an alarm at the Family Dollar store located at 205 Chandler St, leading to the arrest of a local man. Officer arrived at the scene around 2:14 AM and found a shattered store window with a rock nearby. Surveillance footage reviewed by the officers showed a male exiting the store with several items.
Former Second Grade Teacher Pleads Guilty to Child Porn
WORCESTER – A former second-grade teacher from Milford has pleaded guilty to possessing child pornography. Vincent Kiejzo, 36, pleaded guilty plea to one count of possession of child pornography. U.S. Senior District Court Judge Timothy S. Hillman has set the sentencing for April 4, 2024. Kiejzo, who was arrested following a criminal complaint in September 2020 and later indicted by a federal grand jury in October 2020, remains in custody.
Six Locations for Annual Guns to Gardens Exchange Dec. 9
WORCESTER – The annual Guns 2 Gardens firearm exchange program returns on Saturday, Dec. 9, at six locations in Worcester County, including two in the city. The Guns 2 Gardens program provides grocery gift cards for operable firearms. Individuals who exchange a firearm will receive a gift card for $50 for a rifle, $100 for a pistol, and $150 for automatic or semiautomatic weapons. Inoperable firearms are accepted at each location, but gift cfar4ds are not provided for inoperable weapons.

According to the study, the median list price for a home in Worcester in November was $475,000. The researchers predict a 4.8 percent increase in home sales prices and a 9.1 percent increase in the number of homes sold in 2024.

BOSTON – The U.S. Marshals Service in the District of Massachusetts has issued a warning about a telephone scam involving fraudsters who falsely claim to be working with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and the U.S. Marshals Service. These imposters, using information gathered from public sources, contact victims and falsely assert that a package linked to the victim, containing illicit drugs or weapons, was intercepted at the Texas border. The scam involves an elaborate scheme to gain the victim’s trust to access sensitive bank account information.

WORCESTER – A federal grand jury in Worcester indicted a local man on charges of possessing and transporting child pornography on Tuesday. Brian Lingard, 60,. of Shrewsbury, faces allegations of both transportation and possession of child pornography. Lingard, who was initially charged on Oct. 27, 2023, following a criminal complaint, was released on conditions after his arrest on Oct. 30, 2023.
