Authorities raid Old Hickory home of man accused of moving drugs through US mail
Last week, law enforcement raided an Old Hickory home and seized pounds of drugs shipped through the mail as part of a a joint operation led by the Williamson County Sheriff's Office, the U.S. Postal Service (USPS), the Fairview Police Department, and the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI).

College Grove Man Dies Following Multi-Vehicle I-65 Crash, Chapel Hill Driver Charged
The tragic aftermath of a crash on Interstate 65 has culminated in the death of a man days after the initial collision. The Metro Nashville Police Department relayed to WSMV that the victim, 53-year-old Garrett Stolle of College Grove, succumbed to his injuries at Vanderbilt University Medical Center on Tuesday. Stolle originally sustained critical injuries during the July 25 incident on I-65 North.
Drug trafficker with operations in Maury, Lewis counties sentenced to 70 months in prison
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — A drug trafficker from Texas was sentenced to 70 months in federal prison for an operation that spanned both Maury and Lewis Counties. Julio Esparza was charged with conspiracy to distribute and possess with the intent to distribute cocaine, crack cocaine, methamphetamine and marijuana. He plead guilty in 2022.

Something to note – More scams are popping up left and right, every day and right in Spring Hill, a man is now out over $1000 because of a fake rental scam. According to the Spring Hill Police, this rental scam happens multiple times a year. Basically, the man was looking to rent a house that he found on Facebook marketplace, but the only problem was, the home wasn’t really for rent.. it was on the market to be sold.
On This Day in 1964: The Tragic Plane Crash That Took Jim Reeves Too Soon
It was July 31, 1964, when Jim Reeves and his manager, Dean Manuel, were on their way home to Nashville from Batesville, Arkansas when they unexpectedly encountered a tempestuous storm. Reeves and Manuel lost contact with air traffic control and crashed shortly after. Two days later, the plane was found just outside of Nashville in Brentwood, Tennessee. Reeves is tragically in the company of approximately 30 or so musicians who have died in plane crashes. Including, Patsy Cline, John Denver, and Buddy Holly.
Brentwood Fire and Rescue Welcomes Two Massachusetts Natives to Their Team
Two Massachusetts natives have joined the ranks of Brentwood Fire and Rescue, adding their experience to the prestigious fire department in the south. The recent induction of Alex Ackles and Bryan Williams into the team was highlighted at the Brentwood City Commission Meeting, where Fire Chief Brian Goss warmly referred to them as the newest "members of our family."
