Man charged for allegedly watching woman undress in restroom
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - A 38-year-old man is accused of watching a woman undress in a bathroom stall inside a business in the Gulch in May. According to his arrest affidavit, a woman told officers with the Metro Nashville Police Department that she went into the restroom and began to undress in a stall when she heard someone enter the stall next to hers. She said she could tell by the person’s shoes that it was not a woman in the stall.

Tenn. firefighter crashes truck towing boat into building after suffering medical episode
DANDRIDGE, Tenn. — A firefighter crashed a Dandridge Fire Department command truck into a building downtown after suffering a medical episode behind the wheel, WVLT reports. The firefighter was picking up the boat for routine maintenance on July 31 when he lost consciousness behind the wheel, Fire Chief Andrew Riley said. The truck hit two parked cars during the crash, which Riley said helped save the building from seeing major damage.

Youth Academy Industrial Park Childcare Center opens with 800 spots from nearby employee families
CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – The Youth Academy Industrial Park Childcare Center opened its doors with a ribbon-cutting ceremony Thursday afternoon. The facility site includes about 18 acres off Exit 8 and International Boulevard in the South Industrial Park to provide childcare services to nearby employees. It will offer 800 full-time slots, with 400 of those discounted at 15% for industrial park and military-affiliated families.
School resource officers will be in every Metro Nashville middle and high school
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - School starts next week for Metro Nashville Public School (MNPS) students and safety measures are in place to ensure students and staff are safe. For the upcoming 2024-2025 school year, two school resource officers will be in all 16 MNPS high schools. One SRO will be in all 30 MNPS middle schools.
