Group against sales tax for transit referendum emerges

Woman rescued after kayak overturns in Stones River
MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WSMV) - The Swiftwater Team saved a woman from the Stone River on Wednesday after her kayak overturned, leaving her stranded for hours. According to the Murfreesboro Fire & Rescue Team, fast-moving water in the river caused the kayak to overturn near the Cason Lane Trailhead on Wednesday afternoon. The woman reportedly grabbed a tree and managed to hold on with one arm for more than an hour while holding the overturned kayak with the other arm.
